Half Moon Bay Brewery - A really fun casual & friendly place to grab a drink and hear some music. At the top of my list for live blues on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. Good bands, too! It's a great scene when Hipshaker plays the Brewery... Check out our gigs page for the next show.... 390 Capistrano, Princeton-By-the-Sea, 650-728-2739.
Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society - A truly unique, non-profit place to see jazz legends and up and comers in a tiny little place right on the beach. Incredible views, tasty music. Go!
Miramar Beach Inn - An upscale restaurant that is now featuring live bands on Saturday nights. Sounds like this will be a fun live scene, I've heard a pretty good buzz about it.
Half Moon Bay Yacht Club - Members only club, but this is our crowd! A fun spot with lots of blues fans that will always be a special place for Hipshaker.
Applejacks - Somewhat off the beaten trail in La Honda, with a fun crowd. Music Friday and Saturday nights, and often on Sunday afternoons. (650) 747-0331.
Mezza Luna - One of the nicer stages and rooms on the coast. Unfortunately leaning towards DJ's at the moment. Check it out though, you could get lucky and catch a good night for live music or even a comedy show. We've got a lot of funny folks here in the Bay Area.
Old Princeton Landing - Consistent provider of live music, heavy on the blues. Pool tables & a little tougher crowd than some of the other venues here. Good sized room with a stage and room for dancing.
San Gregorio Store - Live music every Saturday and Sunday with local favorites, heavy on the bluegrass. A funky, friendly place to stop on a drive down the coast.
La Di Da - 500 Purissima Street, Half Moon Bay - If you are in the mood for the coffee shop scene this is a fun stop. Acoustic music on weekend afternoons. Call for information. 650-726-9070
San Benito Inn - On Main Street in Half Moon Bay. This place has occasional live music of the acoustic variety. A very friendly place with a nice mix of locals and out of towners.
Cameron's Inn - Mostly karaoke & open mic. This used to be a fun place to play, but I guess the music just didn't pay. Popular English Pub and sports bar with TV's, darts, pool table, pinball, you name it. Just about everything but live music. Hope that changes soon.
